A twenty two year-old's view on life, death,
and Taylor Swift conspiracy theories
and Taylor Swift conspiracy theories
For my entire life I have lived in New England and, somehow, I have managed to go twenty years without ever missing a New England Fall. I have done a lot of travelling in my days but somehow I've always done it during the other nine months of the year, expect for this year. And now that I'v done all that travelling, I am happy to say that I have a lot of friends all around the world including Paris, Scotland, The Netherlands, Texas, California, Wisconson and even Jamaica!

10/15/2015 0 Comments Humans That Inspire #3, Bethany BottoI first met Mrs. Botto seven years ago (holy crap), my freshman year of highschool. She wasn’t my teacher until several years later, but I would see her around school, at pep rallies and hear other students talking about how much they loved her. When I finally was assigned to her gym and health class my junior year, I got to experience for myself what an amazing teacher she was. The rumors were right. I feel lucky that I went to a high school where – for the most part – my teachers were good, caring people who genuinely wanted to be teaching. But Bethany Botto takes this to a whole new level. She puts her passion and her love for teaching and working with children (well, high schoolers) and instills the same passion in her students. I have never met anyone who is so in love with what they are doing. It is beyond empowering and motivates me to go out there and do what I’m passionate about as well. . But Mrs. Botto isn’t only an amazing teacher. No, not at all. She is also a loving mother, often posting on Facebook about how proud she is of her two children, she’s an animal lover, a genuine, positive and funny person with an infectious attitude. She is healthy and active, she understands the power and practice of meditation and, of course, she is an amazing artist. She has so many passions and makes sure that she allows herself to go after them all. When I was her student, she was teaching full time as the Sexual and Physical Education Instructor for Monty Tech, created an Art Club there, was going to Endicott College to get her Masters in Arts and Learning, Working with the Drama department to help produce Monty Tech’s annual performances as well as Mr. Monty Tech at the end of each year, getting certified as an instructor for various physical activities like yoga and Pilates and doing even more that I didn’t even know about. She never let anything stop her from going after her dreams. And that is what makes her so inspiring. Even today, I love opening my Facebook page and seeing what she’s been up to. I love seeing her beautiful art and seeing that she is doing even more lately to spread her passion to other through painting parties and through her students. Keep up your amazing work Mrs. Botto, you are touching more lives and inspiring more people than you know. Thank you for reading, Amanda Lucille |
